We explore the Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area in the mountains of central Taiwan, which is blessed with natural resources such as maple forest, cherry blossoms, birds, waterfalls, and thick woodlands all intertwined with one another. It is absolutely worth visiting all year round. Take a stroll along the landscape trails with their changing colors in different seasons, walking in the woods in a spirit of freedom, enjoy the forest’s phytoncides. We even arrange a night excursion to most fully experience this enthralling and diverse ecological environment.

Hike the Waterfalls Zone Trail and Maple-watching Trail
The Waterfall Zone Trail lies beside the retention basin and has a total length of 1km. It starts at the Taipower retention basin, which was used for water resource management. The trail goes up under the shade of lush trees along the retention basin, and it takes about 30 minutes’ easy hiking to reach Aowanda’s Flying Waterfall and Double Waterfalls.

Forest Therapy
In the forest filled with pine trees, enjoying the breeze, lights, and shadows, people can either stand or lay down to spend a relaxing afternoon and keep the little memories of everyday life in the forest through our five senses.
